NovaVision for Professionals

Rehabilitation Of Vision Disorders
Vision disorders after stroke or brain injury can be overlooked early on as more severe, and life-threatening, injuries sustained from the stroke or brain injury are treated. Patients should undergo a vision evaluation as soon as possible after their injury. Even if a patient does not perceive any problems with his or her vision, defects may be present, and they can have an extensive impact on the patient’s life and rehabilitation efforts.
Alternative Therapeutic Strategies
There are three main strategies for potential visual rehabilitation: Substitution, Compensation and Restoration.

NovaVision provides a portfolio of FDA cleared or registered therapy and diagnostic products focused on Compensation and Restoration, with product offerings tailored to physicians, clinics and centers as well as direct to patients.

For Physicians

To start Vision Restoration Therapy, patients require a prescription and visual field test. Therefore, NovaVision seeks physicians to whom patients can be referred. NovaVision also offers the “NovaVision Pro Physician Model” which enables physicians to register patients in their practice for the NovaVision therapies and monitor their progress through their therapy course via a personalized portal.

For Clinics and Centers

NovaVision provides the NovaVision Center Model, which comprises two programs specifically designed for Clinics and Centers to be used with patients while in their care:

  • The VIDIT diagnostic system which enables therapists to screen for visual field deficits
  • NeuroEyeCoach, an evidence-based, dedicated visual training program specifically designed to improve scanning and eye movement efficiency in patients with visual disorders resulting from stroke or brain injury.
